At age 16, Patrick was kidnapped by some Irish raiders and made to work in Gaelic Ireland as a Shepherd for 6 years. It was while working there as a slave that he found God. He later fled back to his home where he became a priest.
Many years later, he returned to Ireland to convert the Irish people to Christianity. He was successful in His mission as a lot of pagan Irish were converted to Christians. He died on march 17 and was buried at Downpatrick.
